Tutu Tutorial

So one of my friends asked me how to make tutu's so I thought I'd try to do alittle tutorial on here. I'm not sure how good it'll turn out since I can't do a video but here we go :)

You will need 5 yards of Tulle for each layer that you chose to do. If you buy it by the yard the way I cut it is to take each yard and roll it into a thin roll and then go down the roll and cut it into 4 inch sections.

Step One: Measure your little girl.

Step Two: Measure out your cloth ribbon, you want to measure out the amount you measure above plus 10 extra inches. You mark it by measuring the amount you measured above plus two, mark each end leaving and extra 4 inches on each side so you have room to tie it around your little girls waist. I do 4 inches but you can always do less or more depending on what you want.
Step Three: Once you've marked your cloth ribbon make a knot in it on each of the spots you marked. Then take your Tulle and loosely wrap it around 2-3 fingers, whichever is more comfortable for you.
Step Four: put the cloth ribbon in front of the Tulle that is wrapped around your fingers.
Step Five: take each sting of tulle that is hanging down and pull it up over the ribbon and put it thru the loop that you made around your fingers. Both ends should be coming out of the back of the loop. Pull slowly to tighten the tulle onto the cloth ribbon.
Once pulled Tight it should look like the above picture :) Keep going until you have Tulle covering your cloth ribbon to the other knot. If you are doing a multi-colored tutu it's easier to see the colors if you do at least 2-3 of each color before switching to the next.
This is my finished layer of my tutu. you can leave it like this or do another layer and attach them. I will post later and tell you how to attach a second layer.

I added little white flowers along the top but only on the black tulle. You can add whatever you want, I also have done a lot of tutu's where I place the flowers all over the layers so it looks like the flowers are just flowing on the tulle. You can also add glitter depending what age child it's for and what they are using it for.

Making Brown Eyes Pop!!!!

So I've been hearing a lot lately about silver and purple making brown eyes pop! Now i've heard that purple brings out hazel eyes (because I have hazel eyes :)) But had never heard of the whole silver for brown so I decided to try it out. I did this look on my mom so I hope u guys like it
  1. apply eye primer, I used mark.'s please hold eye primer in light to medium
  2. using an eye shadow brush I applied a silver eye shadow all over the eye lid but not on the outer corner of eye lid
  3. using a small eye shadow brush I applied a sparkly light purple color to to the outer corner of the eye blending upwards
  4. using a blending brush I applied a dark matte purple eye shadow to the crease in windshield wiper motions blending upward and towards the inner eye and highlighted under the brow with a light peach color
  5. using an eye liner brush I applied a gel eye liner from mark. along top lashes. (I used mark.'s keep it going longwear eyeliner & shadow in entourage
  6. curled eye lashes
  7. applied fake lashes from revlon
  8. using an angled eye liner brush I lined the bottom lashes with Jesse's Girl eye dust in Blackstar Blue, then I used it in ultra violet and applied it right underneath the blackstar blue.
  9. I applied Maybelline's Great lash mascara in very black to top and bottom lashes

Brushes used were from Mark. and E.L.F.
All eye shadows were from E.L.F.

My new years look!

Here's the how to, I will put up a product list at the end :) Hope you all enjoy!
  • Apply a primer to your eye lids
  • Pick a dark brown color of your choice (sparkly)
  • Using a blending brush apply this color to your crease in windshiel wiper motions
  • Apply pencil eye liner to you top and bottom lids and your waterline
  • Apply a black shadow to the outter V of your eye and blend it up into the crease but don't go all the way into the brown color (I used a black with glitter in it)
  • Apply some false lashes
  • Touch up your eye liner, I did this using a liquid one
  • Apply glitter to your eye lid, you want most of it where there is no eye shadow
  • Pat some glitter onto the brown color but make sure you tap your brush to get the excess off, you don't want it flushing out the brown and black colors
  • Apply mascara to top and bottom lases
And that's it! Your done! This only took me about 5 minutes to complete so it's super easy and pretty!
Here's the product list:
